March 19, 2020

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences will be held Friday, March 27, 2020 and the sign-up forms will be made available starting Saturday, March 21 at 9:00am. A separate email will be sent to all MAK parents with the link at that time. Please also note that sign-ups will be closed at 8:00am on Thursday, March 26 in order to allow teachers to prepare for the conferences.

This year, all Grades 6-12 students are required to accompany you to Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences. Secondary students will be preparing for these conferences in the days prior to conferences.

We will provide some child supervision during conferences.  Your children should either be with you or in the designated supervision areas. Please be ready to pay a small donation for this service.  All proceeds will go toward next year’s 11th-grade service trip.

Dear Parents,

We are anticipating a busy and exciting Friday and Saturday at MAK.  Friday is the Olympic Games Day and Saturday night is the Talent show.  In order to continue to protect the health of our community, we will take the following precautions for these and all other events.

  • We ask that visitors be limited to family only.
  • Temperatures will be taken of everyone coming on campus.
  • Anyone who has traveled outside Taiwan and has not been back in Taiwan for at least 14 days, should not attend either of these events.  We are taking this precaution because the CDC has placed the whole world on Level 1 watch and more and more countries and states are being added to Level 2 alert and Level 3 warning every day.
  • These events are voluntary.  No one is required to attend either event.

We also want to encourage all families to be careful as they plan travel for Spring Break. With heightened travel advisories for all of the world, we recommend you stay in Taiwan.  Do not travel off-island unless it is necessary.

According to the Department of Health, as of March 16th, any time a student travels outside of Taiwan the school must be notified.  Please let us know if your child travels.

Thanks, 謝謝,

MAK OLYMPIC DAY – Friday, March 20, 2020
2020年 MAK 運動會 – 三月20日(五)

This is a reminder that MAK Olympic Games Day will be held on Friday, March 20, starting at 8:00am. This is a voluntary event for MAK parents who wish to attend.

We will be taking temperatures of everyone on campus and ask all parents who wish to attend the event to follow the Taiwan Government regulations regarding overseas travel and quarantines.  This Morrison Health update link can be used as a quick reference.

Please click here for more information about how your child can  prepare for the day.

Dear Parents and Students,

Because of a Taiwan government decision, only MAK students and their family members are permitted to attend the Talent Show. If you ordered tickets for friends outside of MAK, we will refund you. Please send an email to if you would like a refund.
Everyone attending the Talent Show is required to wear masks at all times. A few other precautionary measures we will take are: temperature checks for all attendees and performers, the spraying of rubbing alcohol on hands at the front door, and social distancing practices.
Thank you so much for your cooperation and understanding during this time.

We are looking forward to the Talent Show!

Sincerely, HouseCo 2019-20

親愛的 MAK 家長和學生,

誠摯感謝!HouseCo 2019-20
