Students that ordered pictures from picture day need to turn in their money to their classroom teachers in an envelope with their name, grade, and money amount written on it. Money is due Friday, December 11.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 17 IS PIZZA DAY! / 披薩日！十二月十七日(四)

The Juniors are fundraising for their future service trip with a Pizza Day Fundraiser on Thursday, December 17!

Pizza order forms are being given to all students this week. Order envelopes, with exact change, should be returned to the LIBRARY no later than Tuesday, December 15.

If your child has an MAK lunch, make sure they mark if they do NOT want their school lunch to be ordered on Pizza Day and it will be cancelled.  THERE ARE NO SCHOOL LUNCH CANCELLATIONS AFTER THIS FRIDAY SO ORDER EARLY IF YOU WISH TO CANCEL YOUR SCHOOL LUNCH. Non-MAK lunches provided by other vendors will not be cancelled.

Half Day for Teachers’ PL – Friday, December 18, 2020
教職員在職進修 半天- 2020年12月18日（星期五）

This is a reminder that Friday, December 18th will be a Half Day for Teachers’ PL Day. School will be dismissed at 11:30AM and the school buses will leave at 11:45AM.This is a system wide Professional Learning day for all teachers to meet, receive training, and learn from each other.
12月18日(五)，學校教職員下午有在職進修 ，因此學生只上半天課。 放學時間為11:30， 學校巴士將於11:45離開學校。在職進修的目的是為了讓教職員們能夠接受培訓和互相學習以助教職員在專業上的成長。

Perhaps many of you have seen the vegetable and fruit stall set up between the school and staff housing and have wondered to yourself, What’s going on? Why would someone be selling produce here of all places? Well, the answer is that it’s there for YOU!
The Stephenson family, a long time Morrison family, have a farm just behind the school where they plant a variety of organic produce and raise free-range eggs. They also source products from local farmers and markets in search for the highest quality produce to bring to Morrison families. Feel free to stop by after school every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday to enjoy conversation with Uncle John and browse his amazing selection of fresh farm produce!

最近有注意到學校門口附近擺設賣菜的攤位嗎？有沒有人想過「誰在這裡擺攤賣菜啊？」其實，他們在這擺攤的目的，就是為了等你大駕光臨！
Stephenson一家是馬禮遜的老校友與家長，他們在學校後面的一塊農地種了各式各樣的農作物，養放山雞和生產無毒雞蛋。他們也和當地的農民及市場合作，為大家精挑細選新鮮又高品質的蔬果。每個星期一、三和四，歡迎來Uncle John的攤位和他們聊聊天，逛逛他細心挑選和栽種的美味農產品！

ASA NEWS! ASA 消息!

Please be advised that the last day of ASA will end on Thursday, December 17. Below is the information about our ASA program for the second semester. 

1. The Elementary core teachers will send the ASA descriptions and sign-up forms by email at 8:00am on Tuesday, January 5.
2. The sign-up forms will be open for registration from Tuesday, January 5 to Thursday, January 7, inclusive.
3. The ASA program will begin on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

這學期的ASA將於十二月17日（四）結束。以下是第二學期ASA的資訊：

1. 報名表單和簡章將於一月5日（二）早上八點由班導師統一電郵至您的信箱。
2. 報名表單開放日期為一月5日（二）至一月7日（四）。
3. 各課程將於 一月12日（二）開始上課。

High School Final Exams 高中期末考

High School final exams are coming up December 15-17! The exam schedules are as follows: Grade 9 Schedule; Grade 10 Schedule; Grade 11 Schedule; Grade 12 Schedule. Please note that Monday, December 14 will be a Study Day for High School. There will be no exams and students can opt to stay home and study or come to school where they can study individually or in groups or meet with teachers as needed. As parents, you can decide where your child will study on Monday, December 14.  

Here are some instructions students will be given regarding Finals Week.

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. If you are on campus, you must be in a designated study hall location or in an exam.
                  2. You are not required to be at school except for exams, so if your parents want to bring you late/pick you up early, that is fine. (But you cannot leave in the middle of the day and return.) 
                  3. You may NOT leave campus without your parents picking you up unless you are taking the normal bus after school.
                  4. The new cell phone free campus policy will still be in full effect throughout Finals Week.
                  5. While there will be no games scheduled during Finals Week, regular sports practices will continue at the discretion of team coaches.

高中期末考試將於12月15日至17日舉行！考試時間表如下：九年級，十年級，十一年級，十二年級。請注意，12月14日星期一是高中的學習日。12/14當天沒有考試，所以學生可以選擇留在家裡或是來學校讀書。若學生選擇來學校，他們可以自行複習，跟同學一起複習，或者根據學習的需要和老師見面。 父母可以決定您是否要讓您的孩子在12月14日星期一來學校複習。

以下是我們於考試週給高中生的規範：

1. 如果你選擇來學校，你必須在指定的地點自修。
2. 除了考試時間以外，你不一定要在學校。如果你的父母可以配合你的時間接送，晚送早回都可以，但是請勿到校後離開又返回，重覆進出校園。
3. 除了搭校車的學生，若你的父母無法接送，請勿自行離校。
4. 新的無手機校園政策在整個考試週期間仍然全面實行。
5. 考試週不會有任何的體育比賽，但放學後的練習仍照常舉行。

MAK’s Reavexactors had an amazing tournament at the VEX competition at Taipei American School last weekend.  They played well and ended with one team in third place (out of 32 teams)!  MAK robotics continues to grow at our school.  We are so thankful for all of the support from our families and administration!  Can’t wait for next season!

MAK的Reavexactors機器人隊於上週末在台北美國學校參加了一個機器人比賽。他們努力的戰鬥，而最終其中一隊在32隊中取得了第三名的好成績！MAK的機器人隊伍不斷的在成長。我們非常感謝所有的家庭和學校行政單位給我們的支持！我們非常期待下個賽季！

RESULTS FROM LAST WEEK / 上個禮拜的體育資訊：
Varsity boys started the week with a tough loss to a very strong I-Shou International School team losing 34-60.
JV boys were in a similar situation going down in a very scrappy game 8-19 away at I-Shou International School.

Varsity Boys got a great win against the I-Shou English Department Mens club team winning by a score of 55-54. This was a fantastic win for our boys who were down by 12 points with 3 minutes left to play and scored 15 points in the last 3 minutes to seal the comeback win.  Point leaders for the team were Joseph Tsai with 18 points and James Lei with 10. 

JV Girls defeated I-Shou English Department  Women’s club team 52-19. Grace Im scored a monstrous 52% of the team’s points with 26 and McKenna Muir came up with a massive 15 steals. 

JV Boys lost to KAS 32-47 despite out scoring the opposition in 3 of the 4 quarters. 

JV Girls battled to a tough loss vs I-Shou Nursing club team 42-57. Stat leaders for the ladies Annette Huang who scored 19 points and McKenna Muir scored 10 points, pulled down 6 rebounds and made 7 steals.

男子籃球校隊在賽季開始即以34-60的比分慘敗給義守國際學校的強隊。

男子籃球二軍也同樣的以8-19的比分輸給了義守國際學校。

男子籃球校隊以55-54的比分打贏了義守大學的應用英語系的系隊。這場比賽非常的精彩，因為在最後的三分鐘，男生把落後的12分補了回來，還多贏了三分，使得我們贏了比賽。這場比賽得分最多的球員為得18分的Joseph Tsai以及得10分的James Lei。

女子籃球校隊以52-19的比分大勝了義守大學的應用英語系的女子系隊。Grace Im貢獻了26分（全隊百分之52的得分），而McKenna Muir則是成功搶了15次球。

男子籃球校隊二軍以32-47的比分輸給了高雄美國學校，儘管我們在四節中的三節得分都領先。

女子籃球校隊以42-57的比分敗給了義守大學護理系。Annette Huang貢獻了19分，而McKenna Muir則貢獻了10分，而且搶了7次球和6個籃板。
