Dear parents, students, staff members, and friends,
I am excited for another year full of learning, relationship building, and fun at Morrison Academy Kaohsiung (MAK)! Every year, we have a school theme that we focus on learning about, and this year, our school theme will be "Integrity". The key bible verse for this theme is:
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity" Hebrews 11:3
God has called us to be people of integrity. He has given us the bible so we KNOW what's right, but we must also choose to DO what's right, and we must do this consistently, NO MATTER WHAT the circumstance or the cost may be.
One of the things that makes MAK such a great place is the super teaching staff we are blessed with. Even though it is sad to say good-bye to teachers who leave, God always blesses us with awesome new staff, and this year is no different. This year, we are welcoming four new teachers to our school:
Ms. Yang - Grade 3 teacher
Mr. Cooper - Grade 5 teacher
Mrs. Cooper - Middle School Bible teacher
Mr. Garcia - Secondary humanities teacher
In addition, we are also welcoming back Mr. Griffin as our Technology coordinator and Mrs. Griffin as one of our secondary math teachers.
At MAK, our entire staff is committed to providing a well-balanced approach to education for students in a loving and nurturing environment. We aim to accomplish this not only in our challenging academic courses, but also by providing opportunities to learn and experience music, sports, art, technology, and much more.
For those families looking for a quality American Christian school in the Kaohsiung or Tainan area, I welcome you to contact us to find out more about our school can offer your child. Our school is jointly accredited by the agencies WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International).
I hope you all have a super year, and please check out the rest of our website where you can find out more about the cool things that are happening at MAK!
Sincerely,
Gabriel Choi
Principal
