PHOTO RELEASE FORM PARENT AND AGREEMENT FORM (Friday, 9/3)

Please return Photo Release Form and the Parent Agreement Form in the back of the Morrison Student/Parent Handbook (Tan cover) to the office by Friday, September 3rd.

MAK COMMUNITY BBQ (Saturday, 9/4, 10 am - 2 pm)

The BBQ will begin at 10:00 am this Saturday, and end by 2:00 pm. We will plan on continuing with the BBQ rain or shine, unless there is a typhoon. You can feel free to drop in anytime that best fits your schedule. A schedule of the day's activities can be seen below. There will be babysitting provided in the morning from 10:00-12:00 in the library. Otherwise, please note that parents will be responsible for their own children during the day - particularly during lunch time. Parents, please especially help your children while getting their food to minimize waste and to keep the line moving. There will be some Taiwanese vendors at MAK throughout the day selling various Taiwanese goods, such as glass art, Chinese knots, and children's toys. For those of you who turned in a t-shirt for tie dye, remember to stop by and tie dye your own shirt. 

*本週六的烤肉聯誼活動時間是十點開始，下午兩點結束，(除非颱風來襲，風雨無阻)，可按您的時間方便自由參加。大約11:30分可以開始用餐，家長請幫自己的小孩取餐，以避免不必要的浪費。請參考上列活動內容，中午以前，圖書館會提供嬰幼兒的褓母服務。

*學校請了一些民俗藝術攤位，包括玻璃工藝ˋ砂畫ˋ中國結ˋ童玩等等ˋ歡迎大家光臨。

*今年新增一項紮染衣服的活動，有將衣服交給老師的小朋友，請記得去體驗一下紮染的樂趣。

SEPTEMBER CLASS TEA九月班級茶會

In September, there will be a "Class Tea" for the parents of each grade level. Classroom teachers will be introducing themselves and giving a brief overview of their classes during the Class Teas. This is also an opportunity for parents to mingle and get to know each other better. These teas will be from 1:00-3:00 pm in the fitness room above the gym, and refreshments will be provided. Dates are listed below and can also be found in the school calendar.

今年九月份每個年級會有一個"班級茶會" 日期都印在今年學校的月曆上。時間是下午一點到三點，地點在體育館二樓的會議室。屆時老師會自我介紹，並給家長一個課程總覽，家長也能藉此機會彼此認識。

WEEKLY NEWSLETTER ON THE MAK WEBSITE

In an effort to increase communication with parents, all teachers will be working on updating a new weekly newsletter that can be accessed through the school's website. In the newsletter, you will find interesting information such as what your child will be learning about in the upcoming week, interesting activities that are going on, useful educational websites for the week, etc. You can access the different grade and subject newsletters through the "Elementary", "Secondary", or "Departments" tabs near the top of the website. A new September page for the school calendar with some important date changes was sent home last week. If you did not get the new September page, please request one from the office. Of particular importance, please note the new dates for the Professional Development half day (September 16) and the staff retreat (September 17-18).
