PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE (Friday, 3/19)
Parent Teacher conferences are scheduled for Friday, March 19th (It was originally on March 26th). There is no school for students on that day, so teachers can meet with parents about their student's progress. Report cards will be sent home with students on Thursday March 18th. We sent home a letter with your assigned conference time on it last Wednesday. Please turn in the bottom portion of the return slip to the office by Thursday, March 11. If you have any questions, please call 356-1190 Ext. 14. The finalized schedule will be sent home several days prior to the conferences.
成績報告日改至三月十九日禮拜五舉行(原來是三月二十六日)，學生當天不上課。成績單會讓貴子弟於十八日先帶回家。上禮拜三已發回一封通知單讓學生帶回家，上面有學校預先幫各家庭安排的時段。請家長在三月十一日禮拜四前，將回條交回辦公室以方便我們安排時間表。正式的時間表將在開會之前幾天交給學生帶回家。
PROGRESS REPORTS
Progress reports were sent out last Friday, February 26. These reports are generated for those students who did not achieve at least an average (C or P) grade. They also include the teacher's suggestions and evaluation of behavior, effort, and attitude. Please sign these, and return them to the school office. Elementary student's progress reports were sent home with students, and secondary student's progress reports were mailed out. 學習狀況報告表已於二月二十六日禮拜五發出(小學部的由學生帶回家，中學部的則用郵寄)，成績未達C或P的學生家長才會收到。請家長在收到後簽名並交回辦公室。
IMPORTANT SCHEDULE CHANGES IN MARCH
Because there are many teachers from MAK going to the EARCOS conference on March 26, after talking with PAC and some teachers, Mr. Choi decided to move some dates up a week. The new dates will be:
- End of Quarter 3 will be March 12 (Also a PD Half Day)
- Parent teacher conferences will be March 19 (instead of March 26)
- March 26 will be a regular school day
Thank you for making these changes in your calendar, and for your flexibility.

HALF DAY -- Friday, March 12 三月十二日禮拜五上半天課
Students will be dismissed at 11:30 am. on Friday, March 12. Teachers will have a professional development meeting in the afternoon. Buses will leave the school at 11:45 am.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER TOURNAMENT (Friday and Saturday, 3/6 and 3/7)
Middle School students will go to Taipei / Taichung for their Soccer Tournament on March 5 and 6. The C teams (6th graders) will leave for Taipei after lunch on Friday, March 5. The rest of the teams will leave for Taichung on Saturday. This bus will leave from the following locations at these times:
Da Hua School at 6:15 am
MAK at 6:45 am
Tainan at 7:30 am
Parents, please refer to the permission slip for the things to bring, times and locations where the students will be picked up on Saturday, March 6. The games schedule can be found at the end of the Messenger.
中學生這個週末分別在台北及台中有足球賽程。六年級在三月五日禮拜五午餐後會先行出發去台北，其他學生隔天早上才出發去台中比賽。禮拜六早上巴士6:15am在大華國小後門（可向辦公室索取地圖說明），6:45am在馬禮遜學校，和7:30am在台南接學生去台中。晚上回程時學生們會在新營交休息站打電話給父母，告知在各地點接車的時間。比賽時間表在週報最後一頁。

IAN ULLSTROM'S MEMORIAL EDUCATIONAL FUND
In loving memory of Ian, the Ullstroms have decided to establish a Memorial Education Fund in Ian's name at the orphanage he came from, the Onesiphorus Children's Home. The grade 8 class will continue to sell cheesecakes to support this educational fund. If you are interested in ordering cheesecakes, please see the attached order form. If you would like to make an additional donation to this memorial education fund, this can also be done at the cashier's office.

Mr. Kevin Pinkerton at his French Restaurant La Palette. These cheesecakes are made with the finest ingredients and are very yummy.
