Welcome to the second year of middle school - Seventh Grade!
Seventh Grade is a time when children begin to make lifelong choices, and we aim to help them do that by educating them in a nurturing, Christian environment. This is also a year where there are lots of exciting and interesting events to look forward to, a new and vigorous curriculum to learn, and new challenges to explore. As students move ahead through the middle school years, there are opportunities for increased responsibility and leadership.
During this year, the Seventh Graders will be going on various field trips, including the annual overnight Culture Trip. This is a time for students to make connections with the country in which they live as they explore Taiwan from north to south.
In Seventh Grade, we continue the exploratory program, which offers a mix of classes including art, drama, Photoshop, podcasting, Yearbook, athletics and much more. Students get a chance to try different subjects and learn to develop their fullest potentials. There are also opportunities to serve in the areas of Worship Team, Audio Visual Support and Library Assistant to name a few.
In the academic areas, students will encounter lots of new content. In Science, students leave behind Earth Science to begin the exciting study of Life Science, which will lay the foundation for Biology, which they will take in Grade 9. In Language Arts, students will work on developing their expository writing skills.
As you can see from the photos, Mr. Wardle and Mr. Garcia have had many great adventures together, but they both feel that none will compare to being the Grade 7 sponsors this year.
