Welcome to the first year of middle school!

Grade 6 is the big jump from elementary school to middle school. Students get the excitement of having quarter courses, after-school sports, their own lockers, and SLEEPOVERS! They are able to join in on special activities like the 30-Hour Famine and this year, on the Christian Service Learning trips.

Along with this fun come some new challenges that sometimes make our students nervous. They have to learn how to open those lockers, then move from class to class to many different teachers, who sometimes have different teaching methods and expectations. Their assignments get a little more complicated, and they have to learn to stay organized using binders.

We spend a lot of time with the students teaching them how to make these adjustments, so the students are able to enjoy all the fun of MIDDLE SCHOOL!
