Welcome to Middle School!  You're doing a great job adjusting to new lockers, schedules, teachers, and HOMEWORK!
 
We have already started on A.R. and are learning strategies on how to be active readers.  Soon, we we be practicing those skills in Reader's Logs and Personal Dictionaries.  We will then start reading some short stories and learning the elements of fiction.  As we go, we are going to learn how to speak with strong oral fluency and practice this with our Grade 2 reading buddies!
 
In writing, we are practicing grammar with the "Caught'ya!" programme.  We will also be reviewing and practicing all of the 6 Traits soon.  In Social, we will start with history from Creation until early civilizations.  Students will have an opportunity to see this from both an Old Earth and New Earth perspective.
